Description
Black variant of the FL-003 "39MEG" Japanese Bronze Kurotani sculpture. Edition 27 of 60, with artist-signed COA. Catalogued as a duplicate of AK-16 (Generation Z black bronze, edition 24/60); recorded behind the original in the catalogue. Acquired together with AK-43 (white variant, edition 10/12) as a pair from CURIO, LTD., Tokyo. Same casting as AK-16, AK-43 and AK-50 -- all four share the identical sculpt, differing only in finish and edition number.

Purchased 29 July 2026 from CURIO, LTD., Tokyo (Artsy listing), gallery consignment market. Payment confirmed 1 August 2026. Acquired as part of Futura FL-003 (Set of 2: Black & White); both pieces kept after initially planning to consign the black piece back. Condition: Mint. Artist-signed COA confirmed by gallery. Edition 27 of 60. Sold together with AK-43 (white, edition 10/12). Catalogued as duplicate of AK-16. Crated for door-to-door shipment with cargo insurance; in transit, delayed by Obon holiday.
